Pre-wedding photo shoot.
Engagement photoshoot by the sea in the Var.
Theengagement photo shootis now a must-have beforethe wedding. It helps build a connection between the wedding photographer and the soon-to-be-weds. It’s also a way to establish a relationship of trust with the professional who will be with you throughout your big day. It also gives the couple a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera. While this can sometimes feel like a challenge, a couple’s photo shoot is generally a moment of connection for the couple and the best way to let go and refocus on what really matters: being together.
What's a good location for an engagement photo shoot?
I usually suggest fairly secluded locations so that the couple feels like they’re in their own little world; I like to take them on walks through the calanques, in the countryside, or even deep in the mountains. Sometimes I also suggest more familiar places—places where the couple has a history—so that they feel as comfortable as possible.
It’s also an opportunity to head down the street, as if to another country. For some, it’s also a chance to travel and discover a new city or region.
This moment is yours—a special time to reconnect with yourself and, why not, rediscover yourself. My favorite places are: Provence, with its olive groves and sunshine; the Alps, for a hike in the mountains; and even Europe, to explore new cities.
