Getting married in Provence means choosing much more than just a setting.

I don't think a wedding needs to be constantly staged to be beautiful.
The images that become most valuable over time are often the simplest ones.

My work consists primarily of observing these moments, anticipating them, and photographing them without altering their nature.
I offer guidance when necessary—especially during couple portraits or group photos—but I always prefer to let emotions unfold naturally.
The goal is not to organize an event centered on photography.

Photographing a Wedding in the Alpilles
The Alpilles are among the regions I particularly enjoy photographing.
Around Les Baux-de-Provence, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Maussane-les-Alpilles, and Eygalières, the landscapes are instantly recognizable: light-colored stone, limestone hills, olive trees, cypresses, and Mediterranean vegetation.
The light there changes dramatically throughout the day.
The light is very high-contrast in the middle of the afternoon, but it gradually softens as sunset approaches. That’s usually when I prefer to schedule a short couple’s photo session, so you won’t be away from your guests for too long.
In particular, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph weddings and receptions there at venues as unique as the Carrières des Lumières in Les Baux-de-Provence, where the mineral setting and immersive projections create an atmosphere that’s completely different from that of a traditional estate.
Getting Married in the Luberon
The Luberon has a unique atmosphere.
Hilltop villages, vineyard-lined roads, lavender fields, and historic buildings lend weddings a particularly charming and authentic atmosphere.
Saignon, Lourmarin, Bonnieux, Gordes, and Ménerbes all offer plenty of options for hosting a celebration in the heart of Provence.
It’s also a very popular destination for foreign couples looking to plan a destination wedding in Provence.
In particular, I photographed a British wedding at Saint-Eusèbe Abbey in Saignon, a place steeped in history that perfectly illustrates this blend of heritage, Provençal light, and the art of living.
For couples who want to extend their celebration over several days, the Luberon is particularly well-suited for hosting a welcome dinner, the wedding, and then a brunch the next day.
A Wedding in Aix-en-Provence and the Surrounding Area
Aix-en-Provence holds a special place in my work.
This is where I’m based—in the heart of Provence—and where I photograph most of my weddings.
Around the city, there are numerous country estates, private properties, and event venues that allow visitors to enjoy the countryside while remaining easily accessible from Aix, Marseille, or the TGV station.
The region also makes it possible to blend several different worlds.
Preparations are underway in the historic center of Aix.

This combination of city and countryside is particularly appealing to couples whose guests include visitors from abroad or other regions of France.
Photographing a Wedding in the Vaucluse
The Vaucluse also offers a wide variety of event venues.
From the Luberon to Pernes-les-Fontaines, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, and the estates around Avignon, it’s possible to organize a wide variety of weddings.
In particular, I photographed a celebration that lasted several days at the Château des 3 Fontaines in Pernes-les-Fontaines.
Welcome dinner, preparations at the château, ceremony in the park, cocktail hour, dinner, and evening festivities: this type of venue allows you to hold the entire wedding in one place and truly enjoy time with your loved ones.
That’s also what makes multi-day weddings particularly appealing: guests have time to spend together, and the wedding becomes a true experience rather than just a single day.
Your wedding comes first; the photos come second
During the planning process, it's easy to build a schedule around the photo sessions.
I prefer to do exactly the opposite.
We structure the photo story around your wedding.
If you'd like to spend two hours with your guests during the cocktail hour, make the most of it.
If you prefer a very intimate ceremony, it doesn't need to be transformed to be photogenic.
If an unexpected rain shower comes in the middle of the day, it'll just be part of your story.
My role is to adapt to whatever happens.
After photographing several hundred weddings, our experience allows us to anticipate key moments, respond to the unexpected, and guide you when you need it—all without ever turning your special day into a photo shoot.

Frequently Asked Questions About Weddings in Provence
How far in advance should you book your wedding photographer in Provence?
For the most popular dates between May and September, it’s best to get in touch several months in advance. Some couples book their photographer more than a year before their wedding, especially for Saturdays during peak season.
Do you travel throughout Provence?
Yes. I regularly photograph weddings in the Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Var, Alpilles, and Luberon regions, around Aix-en-Provence, and as far as the French Riviera.
I also travel throughout France and Europe.
How long will you be there on the wedding day?
I prefer photo shoots that are long enough to tell a complete story, from the preparations through to the reception or evening event, depending on the chosen package.
Do you also perform weddings in English?
Yes. I regularly work with international couples and can facilitate communication and provide support in both French and English.
Do you offer photography and video services?
Yes. We also offer packages that combine photography and video to tell the story of your wedding through two complementary approaches.
Should you do an engagement photo shoot before the wedding?
It is by no means mandatory.
However, it’s particularly appealing to couples who want to feel more comfortable in front of the camera, get to know their photographer better, or simply preserve beautiful memories of the time leading up to their wedding.
